Project Overview

The proposed project is located on up to 12 acres of agricultural land at High Boydstone Farm near Ardrossan and will provide 100MW of battery energy storage. It will comprise a series of battery containers and associated equipment including inverters, transformers and a control room. The site will also have its own substation which will facilitate the connection onto the grid.

The site location is adjacent to a farm and skip hire business, is free from environmental designations and is also not in Green Belt. Extensive landscaping and planting will be utilised to screen the project from view, enhance the natural surroundings and increase biodiversity.
